State of the District Update

On Thursday, September 1, the Hudson School Board and the Hudson Board of Selectmen held a joint meeting at the Community Center. The meeting included:

  • Town/School Transparency Fair with school and town representatives
  • State of the Town
  • State of the Hudson School District
  • Joint Discussion on School Safety
  • Joint Discussion on the Town Master Plan and Long-Term Capital Improvements
  • Open Forum Questions and Answers
  • Board member closing comments

Transparency Fair

Administrators from the school district were available to meet one-on-one with community members and answer questions.

  • Dan Moulis – Superintendent
  • Kim Organek – Assistant Superintendent – Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment
  • Jen Burk – Business Administrator – Finance/Budget
  • Rachel Borge – Director of Special Services – Special Services
  • Terry Wolf – Director Strategic Engagement & Communication - Communications

School Board members Gary Gasdia, Gretchen Whiting, Ethan Beals, Mike Campbell and Maureen Dionne were also available.

Community members asked questions about finance, special services and curriculum. New curriculum maps were available and shared. The curriculum maps are available on the website under Families>Academics.

State of the District

Superintendent Moulis provided a brief overview of the district. He presented a high-level review of the proposed Alvirne renovation project.
