Warrant Article 1 - Alvirne High School Renovation

Raises a $27,000,000 bond for design, construction and equipping of additions and renovations to Alvirne High School. Includes improved traffic flow, safety enhancements, improved accessibility and an auditorium. Requires 60% for passage. (Estimated tax impact: $0.16)

The proposed budget is $63,392,486. The budget maintains current staffing, class sizes, maintenance and operations. If this article fails, the default budget is $63,748,201.

Warrant Article 3 - Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Hudson School Board and the Hudson Federation of Teachers

The two-year agreement brings salaries closer to the median teacher salary in southern NH and will help the district be more competitive with surrounding school districts. Cost for 2023-24 is $1,897,268 and cost for 2024-25 is $1,252,413. (Estimated tax impact: $0.40)

Warrant Article 4 - Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Hudson School Board and the Teamsters

A three-year contract with Teamsters which includes full- and part-time custodians plus maintenance staff including the HVAC technician, electrician, plumber and grounds​. Includes an increase of 4% in year 1 and 3% in years 2 and 3. Cost breakdown: 2023-24 - $116,106; 2024-25 - $66,435; 2025-26 - $74,970. (Estimated tax impact: $0.02)

Warrant Article 5 - Roof Replacement at Library Street Elementary School

Replaces the roof at Library Street Elementary School for $400,000 with a new white fully-adhered membrane roof with a 20-year labor/materials warranty.

Warrant Article 6 - Science Labs at Hudson Memorial School

Raises $200,000 to replace two science labs at Hudson Memorial School out of a total of eight that need renovation.

Warrant Article 7 - Band Uniforms for Alvirne High School Marching Band

Raises $56,200 to replace 125 band uniforms for the Alvirne High School Marching Band. Uniforms were last purchased in 1998.

Warrant Article 8 - Music Instruments at Alvirne High School

Raises $27,350 to purchase instruments for the Alvirne High School music program. These instruments (tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, euphonium, bassoon, contrabass clarinet and bass clarinet) are available for student use and provide a more complete band experience.

Warrant Article 9 - Expand Playground at Dr. H.O. Smith Elementary School

An expansion of the playground at Dr. H.O. Smith that voters approved last year. The $30,000 allows for additional swings, a spin cup, a seesaw and low-climb structure, along with the additional surfacing and materials to expand the play space.
