On October 15, Alvirne High School was paid a visit by an important guest, as class of 1951 alum, Gerald Boilard, returned to the school. Gerald holds a high distinction in the school's history, as he was the class president of the school's very first graduating class. He visited with his daughter to see how the school has changed and to reminisce about his time as a Bronco.

The Hudson community came out in droves this past weekend to take part in Alvirne Class Act's annual Haunted Hayride event! Attendees rode along as part of the hayride and also took walks through the spooky forest located next to Hills House. We hope to see everyone again next year!

The Palmer Center at Alvirne's Junior ROTC program gathered on October 18 at Sunnyside Cemetery in Hudson to complete general maintenance projects in the space. The students helped with general upkeep, cut brush, and cleaned gravestones, all of which served as a great help to the community.

A pair of teachers in the district received prestigious honors over the past few weeks. Alvirne art teacher Maria Oakley was selected as the 2025-2026 Art Educator of the Year by the New Hampshire Art Educators Association. She was honored for her significant contributions to art education within the school at the association's fall conference at New England College in Henniker.
|
 |
Also, Palmer Center at Alvirne Marketing teacher, Sarah Compagna, was presented with the Donald H. Peterson Professional Development Award by the New Hampshire Business Educators Association. It's the first in 18 years that someone has qualified for the honor, which includes the opportunity to take a post-secondary course free of charge at the undergraduate or graduate level at one of the colleges within the association's consortium.
