Major League Baseball agent Mark Leinweaver visited Hudson on Thursday to speak to Alvirne High School and Hudson Memorial School students on the importance of leadership, character, and the dangers of social media.

As part of Tuesday's professional development day for staff and faculty, New Hampshire Homeland Security and Emergency Management came to the Palmer Center at Alvirne to conduct a tabletop action exercise for emergency preparedness.
