Superintendent Update - September 7, 2023

Families & Staff -

We have almost reached the end of a very hot second week of school. Today I visited each building to check in with principals. Based upon the weather forecast, we will continue to have indoor school recess and utilize areas with air conditioning for cooling areas for students and staff.

This email includes:

  • District Communication
  • Test of Communication Contacts

District Communications

There are many tools the district uses to communicate with families, staff and the community. I send a message on most Thursdays with any districtwide information that families and staff should know. Principals will send regular emails to families with important information related to the school. Teacher communication varies based on the grade level. Our goal is to keep people informed without sharing too much. Please let us know how we are doing.

Test of Communication Contacts – Tuesday, September 12 @ 4pm

On Tuesday, September 12, at TEST message will be sent via email, phone and text to the information we have on file for each student. If you do not receive the messages, please contact the main office at your child’s school. The district relies on accurate contact information, especially for urgent messages, and in case of school closure. It would be helpful if people would check with school friends and neighbors to make sure they are aware of the test message.

Have a good weekend.
