Snow Day Friday

I am making the call now for school tomorrow. Since the forecast looks like our first “real” snow of the season, it will be a snow day. This is the third of five snow days in the calendar. Year-round staff should check in with their supervisor for work expectations.

Cookies, Cocoa & Conversations

I will host a series of meetings with parents and guardians at each school. I have included dates below.

School Date Time
Nottingham West rescheduled
Alvirne High School February 1 5:00-6:15pm
Hills Garrison February 1 6:30-8:00pm
Hudson Memorial February 7 7:00-8:30pm
Early Learning Center – K & 1 February 9 6:00-7:30pm

Budget Update

Last night the Budget Committee held a meeting to vote on the operating budget and increased it by $795,000. The new proposed budget is $61,018,119 which is $2.4 million budget below the budget that was approved by the Hudson School Board.

District administration will be working to identify areas to return to the proposed budget. Any items will be recommendations, with final decisions after the March 14 election.

Have a good weekend.
