I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving break. Only 21 days until holiday break!

Phones
It was a long week without a fully functioning phone system. Our IT department was persistent in finding and fixing the problem. Thank you to everyone for making adjustments and using other technology to communicate. The schools have back up processes for emergency situations and this experience helped us identify improvements.
Snow Days
Many people love one good, old-fashioned snow day with white fluffy snow, hot chocolate and marshmallows. This year there are five snow days built into the calendar. One of them was used for the September primary, which leaves four snow days without extending the school year (which no one wants).
The district is preparing for remote learning days. If we’re going to have a remote learning day, I will try to make the call the day before so people can plan. Classic snow days will be called based on the weather conditions and the ability to adequately prepare for remote learning. Schools will share more details on the remote learning schedules within the next few weeks. Hopefully we won’t have to worry about this for awhile.
Have a good weekend!
