Welcome to the New School Year

Meet Superintendent Moulis at Hudson Old Home Days Saturday, August 13 from Noon to 4pm at the Historic Hills House at 211 Derry Road

Hudson Families -

I am excited to be joining the Hudson School District and becoming part of the Hudson community. Hudson is a great community and the schools exemplify the community.

While school doesn’t start until Monday, August 29, we can already feel the energy and excitement that begins with the start of the new school year.

The past few years have caused interruptions to student learning. We remain committed to supporting student learning and maintaining high standards. As educators, it is imperative to support students with foundational skills to be successful in academics and in their future careers. The partnership between schools, families and the community is key to the success of our students and schools.

You will see many new faces this year. At the Superintendent’s Office, we welcome Geraldine Ciardelli - Accountant, Sara Parrotto - Director of Student Wellness, Jennifer Lavoie – Receptionist, Deb Leary - Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent, Mary Siperek - Special Services Department Manager and Amy White, Curriculum Coordinator.

A major focus this summer has been hiring at all the schools. One of the challenges the district is confronting are teacher and staff shortages. The district continues to pursue multiple options to recruit and retain our faculty. I am confident that together we will find solutions. We are looking for teachers, lunch monitors, food service workers and paraeducators. Please join our school community and apply at sau81.org/careers.

The success of each child will be at the heart of every decision made by this administration. I am excited and honored to get to know each of you, your vision for your children and our work together to reach those goals. The Hudson staff and I look forward to welcoming students to the new school year.

Hudson Old Home Days start today, August 11, through Sunday. I will join School Board Chairman Gary Gasdia and board member Mike Campbell on Saturday from Noon to 4pm. Please stop by and say hello.

Enjoy the remaining weeks of summer vacation!

Sincerely,

Dan
