It’s great to be back in school and to see everyone going about their work.

PowerSchool & Schoology

The district has used Google Classroom for the last few years to share documents and classroom assignments between teachers and students. Last spring, the district made the decision to adopt Schoology, a full learning management system, which will allow for greater collaboration between teachers and students and communication with co-curricular groups and families.

While a learning management system has been a long-term goal, why are we doing this now?

The pandemic has shown the limitations of Google Classroom.

The rollout of Schoology will continue over the next few months. Teachers had an initial training this summer and will spend time getting comfortable with it this fall. Parents and guardians will be invited after the first trimester.

PowerSchool is still the resource for grade information. If you haven’t set up your account for the PowerSchool Parent Portal, please contact the main office at your child’s school.

Schools & Facebook

Email is the primary tool we use for important information and Facebook to share reminders and photos of school events.

Mask Status

Today, Hudson has 57 COVID cases. It has gone up as high as 74 before coming back down.

The NH Department of Health & Human Services releases COVID data late in the day, Monday through Friday. If I’m going to change the status of masks, that change will most likely happen late Monday and it will be emailed to you directly. I do not plan to switch mask status either way if cases hover right around 50.

Have a good weekend!
