Love Your Community Scavenger Hunt

This summer, the Greater Hudson Chamber of Commerce had a very successful “Love Your Community” scavenger hunt. One lucky family won a ride to school with the Hudson Fire Department. Their enthusiasm was contagious and it was fun to see the fire truck drop off at the Early Learning Center.

Superintendent Roundtable

Yesterday I hosted a small roundtable discussion on COVID and mask protocols in the district. People in attendance made the case for our schools to be “mask optional” all the time and others felt that what we’re doing is working.

We’ve made tremendous progress in the last year. Every student is back at school. We’re playing sports and having after school activities. The ELC hosted a “back to school” night last week and about 75% of families attended.

My priority is to keep our schools open. I hear feedback from a wide variety of people and I appreciate that people took the time to sit down and have a discussion. I am optimistic that we have brighter days ahead with the vaccine for ages 5-11 right around the corner, cheaper rapid tests and better medications. I will continue to evaluate our COVID-19 protocols and adjust accordingly.

Have a great weekend and GO Red Sox!
