The weather is finally getting colder and we’re seeing a lot of fall-related activities in our schools.

Test of the District Communication System on Monday

On Monday, October 25, the district will test our communication messaging system at 1pm. An email, text and phone call will be sent to the contact information in PowerSchool. This is the system that is used to share information about snow days, delays, a bus issue or emergencies.

If you don’t receive all three messages and you would like to receive them or change your contact information, please contact Lori McDermott at lmcdermott@sau81.org.

American Rescue Plan/ESSER III Grant – Feedback Wanted

The Hudson School District is eligible for $4.2 million through the American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Act (also known as ESSER III) to offset the impact of COVID-19 on our schools. Based on conversations with staff, administrators, parents and school board meetings, the district plans to use the funds to support student learning that has been disrupted by COVID. Please use this form to share your feedback. The form will be open through November 5.

Superintendent Chats

I will host three chats in early November, covering the strategic plan, COVID protocols and long-term capital improvements in our schools. I would love to hear your feedback.
