School Board Announces Superintendent

On Monday, March 7, the School Board has selected Daniel Moulis as Hudson’s next Superintendent of Schools, effective July 1. Dr. Moulis has been the superintendent of the Barrington School District in New Hampshire since 2017. Prior to becoming superintendent, he was the Director of Operations, Curriculum & Instruction in Barrington. Congratulations to Dan and I look forward to working with him.

Election Results

Voting was held on Tuesday, March 8. Voters selected Maureen Dionne and Gary Gasdia for school board. The school operating budget failed, so the district will be on a default budget, which is approximately $200,000 less than the proposed budget, which shouldn’t result in personnel cuts. All the negotiated contracts were approved as well as the HO Smith playground and Nottingham roof. Full results are available here.

2022-23 Calendar

The School Board approved next year’s calendar.

On a side note, we have used the three snow days for this school year. Any future inclement weather days will be remote learning or need to be added to the end of the year (and no one wants that).

COVID Reporting

COVID cases have plunged in town and in the state. The best measurement we have today is hospitalizations, which are 47 statewide. We will no longer post cases to the dashboard on the website. School nurses will continue to keep an eye on cases for any in-school transmission.

Just a reminder to forward your clocks this weekend on Sunday at 2am.

Superintendent of Schools
