Community Facts

Alvirne High School is a comprehensive public school serving approximately 980 students in grades 9 through 12. Located in southern New Hampshire, Alvirne has a unique career and technical education facility (the Palmer Center) on site with 13 programs including Health Science and Technology, Accounting, Building Trades, Culinary Arts, Veterinary Science and Pre- Engineering. Hudson, New Hampshire, is a community encompassing working farms, residential areas, and high-tech industries.

Students are required to earn 24 credits to receive an Alvirne High School Diploma.  Four credits in mathematics are required for graduation, the fourth credit may be earned outside of the math department via interdisciplinary coursework.

Standardized Testing

Standardized tests are administered in the spring each year. The Preliminary SAT (PSAT) is available to interested members of the junior class in October. The SAT is administered to all juniors in the spring. The SAT and American College Testing (ACT) are available to juniors and seniors.
