NH Jazz All-State Festival
On Friday, 2/7, Mr. Scagnelli, District Director of Music attended the NH Jazz All-State Festival at Pinkerton High School with many Alvirne students. In addition to the Jazz Festival, Pinkerton also hosted the Scholastic Art Awards of NH where artwork by several Alvirne students was on display. Congratulations to the following for being selected for the Jazz festival: Jackie Corleto, Alivia Ferdinand, Madelyn House, Madison Hyman, Darian Lindsay, Meredith Pomerleau, Aniya Sheppard, Antione Sheppard, and Edison Tan. Congratulations to the following artists: Brym Burns, Mayah Davio, Nya Morgan, Ryder Wanamaker, and Sloane Whaley. Please see below for some examples of these students' artwork.
These accomplishments highlight the hard work and dedication by Alvirne teachers, Mike Gallagan, Maria Oakley, and Megan Crockett. Additionally, we would be remiss if we did not recognize all of Hudson's art and music staff who have played pivotal and formative roles in the development of these students: Kaitlyn Abbott-Rose (AHS); Becca Crivello, Mike Seckla, Brad Smith, and Brianna Stevens (HMS); Lisa Hansen and Margaux Thibeault (HGS); Kirsten Mohring and Maura Zaccaria (NWES); and Katherine Holder and Stephanie Brooks (ELC).
Congratulations to all!
School Deliberative Session
On Saturday, February 8, many community members, with many school district employees, attended the School Deliberative Session. 8 warrant articles were thoughtfully discussed, and the final result was that all 8 warrant articles were recommended to be put on the March 11 ballot as written. Thank you to all those who attended, and for continuing to support our students and our schools.
