Managed Time and Late Arrival/Early Release
As Q1 comes to a close on October 31, I want to suggest some great uses for managed time and late arrival/early release for students who may be struggling to meet deadlines, need extra help, or would like to work on reassessment.
- Passes from managed time to the Academic Support Center for help with math, science, reading, and writing may be written by a classroom teacher or the managed time teacher(s).
- Passes to the library for managed time may be obtained by Mrs. Cole, or the managed time teacher(s). The library is a great space for quiet reading or the completion of assignments.
- Students may come in during their late arrival time or stay during their early release time to work in the library or in the Academic Support Center.
- Some teachers are available to provide assistance to students or to work on reassessment during managed time, or late arrival/early release times, but prior arrangements need to be made between the student and the teacher.
- Alvirne provides many opportunities to help students to be successful. Let’s all encourage our students to access these academic resources!
