Quarter 1 Ends - October 31

As we wrap up the first quarter of the 2024-2025 school year, this is a great time for you and your student(s) to reflect on Quarter 1 and to set goals for Quarter 2. Some goals that will serve to improve student learning are: create an effective time management system for completing assignments and preparing for assessments, seek help when needed (ask questions in class, attend teacher help sessions after school, and/or access the Academic Support Center for math, reading, or writing, to name a few resources), reduce distractions in and out of class (cell phones and social media), and adopt a growth mindset. Having ongoing conversations with your student(s) about what is happening in school and in their classes will show students that school is important.

Family/Teacher Conferences

It was wonderful to see the families and students meeting with teachers last week. 231 families attended a total of 1170 conferences. Conferences are a great opportunity to build relationships, learn about student's progress, address behavioral concerns, and set goals and expectations. If you were unable to meet with a teacher but would like to learn more about any of these items, please reach out to your student's teachers. The staff directory can be found here.
