Senior Capstone Celebrations
Please join us as we celebrate our seniors as they share their Senior Capstone projects on Tuesday, May 21 from 3:00-5:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm. From kindergarten to 12th grade, countless educators have worked with these students to teach them the skills needed to become the Hudson School District's Portrait of a Graduate. Now is the time we get to celebrate the hard work of our seniors and all the educators who have supported them. We hope you can join us!
Nathan Morin Memorial Blood Drive
May is Mental Health Awareness month, and Alvirne's National Honor Society is hosting a blood drive in memory of Nathan Morin who tragically ended his life through suicide. Mrs. Morin, Nathan's mom asks everyone to look out for each other and to reach out when in need. Make your appointment for the May 23 event by searching "Alvirne" at www.redcrossblood.org.
This Past Week at Alvirne High School
World Festival
The World Festival was held on Friday, May 17. This festival included music by a Mariachi band, Greek dancing, a student fashion show, as well as food and information on the various cultures of the students of Alvirne High School. This was an amazing event that was enjoyed by all!
Buddy Ball
This year's Buddy Ball, hosted by Ms.Toomey and the WATS club, took place on Saturday, May 18 in the Alvirne High School cafeteria. The cafeteria was transformed into a Disco where dancing, food, and fun were the focus of the evening.
Elias Brody Memorial Concert
The Elias Brody Memorial Concert was held on Wednesday, May 15 and Thursday, May 16. If you were not able to attend, you are in luck! HCTV was there to record the concert. Please visit HCTV to see what you missed!
