AP Exams
AP Exams are beginning this week. Many exams are being held at the Hills Memorial Library. Please make sure your students are on time for their exams. If possible, students should carpool as there is limited parking.

Schoolwide Presentation by NAMI
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) will be delivering a presentation, geared towards high school students, on the warning signs of mental illness and steps to take if someone is showing signs of mental illness.

Unified Pride in Bronco Nation
Last Thursday, Alvirne seniors Liam McNeil and Lillian Ribeck, along with Mrs. Denis, Mr. Rush, and Mr. Beals, presented "Unified Pride in Bronco Nation" at the NEASC Commission on Public Schools.
A great job was done by all!
Chef of the Year!
Chef Bressler, culinary teacher at Alvirne High School's CTE Center was named Chef of the Year for the Professional Chefs of NH chapter of the American Culinary Federation.

Joey Allison - Senior Captone Project
On Thursday evening, Joey Allison, Alvirne senior who has participated in our culinary program for three years, and a group of his peers, served a three-course meal consisting of French onion soup, a breaded chicken with vegetables and a corn and bacon risotto, as well as homemade fruit tarts. In addition, Joey made homemade focaccia bread oils. This meal was served to over 40 people as part of his Senior Capstone project.
When Joey was asked what he learned from this project, Joey described perseverance as one lesson learned. Joey stated, " One thing I learned while I was completing this dinner was not everything is going to go perfect. Whether you have a few bumps in the road or not, you have to keep cruising along and try and fix and repair the small things as you go."
All money raised (including the cost of the food) is being donated to the Hudson Food Pantry, where Joey volunteered.
