Importance of Attending Classes
As quarter 2 is underway, it is important to address the importance of attending classes. Of course, we understand there are legitimate reasons why students miss school, but reasons such as not having a ride or oversleeping are not legitimate reasons. When students are absent from classes, they are missing out on the opportunity to learn. A lot of the classroom experience cannot be duplicated and as such, it is difficult for students to be successful in their classes. For more information, please see the attendance guidelines in the Student/Family handbook linked here.
Financial Aid Night
As many students are preparing for college, Alvirne will be hosting a Financial Aid Night. On Tuesday, November 19th, Granite Edvance will be presenting a FAFSA information session. This will be held in the Alvirne Music Room at 6pm. The presenters will be able to answer any FAFSA questions and help provide a guide for the process. FAFSA can also be applied to career schools. Granite Edvance will also be discussing how to make college and career schools more affordable in other ways.
