Winter 2022-23 Information
Requirements for Participation
Physicals: A reminder to all incoming freshmen and juniors, you will need a physical before try-outs to be able to start. Also, anyone who hasn't previously played a sport. A physical can’t be older than a year. Convenient Med is an option if you are unable to see your primary doctor.
Athletic Policy Meeting: This pertains to any parent who has not previously attended a policy meeting. The zoom meeting is scheduled for December 6 at 6:30pm. Please email athletic director for the link.
Academic Eligibility: Academic eligibility- Academic eligibility is determined by first quarter grades. Second quarter grades in January will determine if an athlete remains on the team. An athlete must have an overall grade of a C- (1.7 GPA) or better in the first marking period. No student who has failed to pass in four units of work during the previous grading quarter shall represent the school in any interscholastic contest. A minimum course load of five units per grading quarter is required for participation. - A waiver process for academic eligibility must be filed with the athletic office in a timely fashion. A waiver may be granted under extenuating personal or educational circumstances. Please contact the athletic office with further questions.
Health Insurance - All student athletes must be enrolled in a health insurance plan to participate on an athletic team. If an athlete does not have health insurance, the athletic director must be notified immediately so arrangements can be made for coverage during school sponsored athletic events.
5. Family ID- Family ID is a secure registration platform that provides you with an easy, user-friendly way to register for our programs, and helps us to be more administratively efficient and environmentally responsible. When you register through FamilyID, the system keeps track of your information in your Family ID profile, so you enter your information only once for multiple uses, multiple family members and multiple programs. Please do not try to use your phone to enter information.

Tryout Schedules
Girls’ Basketball
Monday, November 28- All athletes will attend this tryout from 3:00-5:00pm. At the conclusion of this tryout, athletes will be told which session they will attend on Tuesday, November 29.
Tuesday, November 29- Session 1 is from 2:30-4:00. Session 2 is from 4:00-5:30. Preliminary cut will be made. Again, athletes will be told which session to attend on Wednesday.
Wednesday, November 30- Varsity practice 2:30-4:30, jv practice from 4:00-5:30. Final cut.
Thursday, December 1- Varsity practice from 2:30-4:00, JV practice from 4:00-5:30
Friday, December 2- Varsity practice from 2:30-4:00, JV practice from 4:00-5:30
Saturday, December 3- Varsity at Nashua North Jamboree. First game at 8am, bus leaves at 7am.
Players selected will receive a schedule of games as well as a monthly practice schedule.
Boys Basketball
Monday, November 28- Freshmen tryouts from 5:00-6:30pm, upperclassmen from 6:30-8:30. After the tryout, freshmen will be told which session to attend on Tuesday, November 29.

Thursday, December 1- Varsity practice from 7:00-8:30, JV practice from 5:30-7:00. Freshmen practice is from 2:30-4:30pm at the community center. A bus will take freshmen to community center but parents will need to pick up at the community center.
Friday, December 2- Varsity practice from 7:00-8:30, JV practice from 5:30-7:00. Freshmen practice is from 2:30-4:30pm at the community center. A bus will take freshmen to community center but parents will need to pick up at the community center.

Swimming/Diving
Swimming/diving has begun. The swim practice schedule is as follows:
At Salem Workout Club
Mondays from 4:30-5:45pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00-4:30pm
At Londonderry Workout Club
Wednesdays from 5:00-6:15pm
Diving practices have not begun.
Boys’ and Girls’ Indoor Track
Season begins Monday, November 28 from 2:30-4:30. Athletes should be prepared to run outside or inside (weather permitting). Athletes should have appropriate clothes for wither scenario. Practices are Monday-Friday from 2:30-4:30. Meets will begin in December including vacation week and are held on either Saturdays or Sundays.
Wrestling
Practices have begun and are held Monday-Friday from 3:00-5:00pm. Meets begin in December and there are many invitationals on Saturdays that last all day.
Ice Hockey-practices are held at Skate 3 in Tyngsboro, MA. Players/families are responsible for getting players to and from Skate 3.

Winter Cheerleading
Monday, November 28- tryouts from 4:00-6:00pm

Thursday, December 1- tumbling at ECE in Tewksbury, from 4-5pm
Remainder of the schedule will be handed out on Monday, November 28.
Unified basketball/cheer
Will begin after Christmas.
