Happy New Year and welcome back! January is a busy month with mid-year assessments, but it is also an exciting time for staff as we are really starting to see our learners grow! It amazes us every year how it just all starts to fall in place academically and socially for our students.
Students in Grade 1 will be taking the Mid-year i-Ready Reading and Forefront Math the week of January 6th, and Mid-year i-Ready Math and DIBELS starting January 15th through January 24th. Kindergarten students will be taking their mid-year i-Ready Reading and Forefront Math January 9th through 13th and their mid-year i-Ready Math and DIBELS between January 15th through 17th.
Our PTO will be hosting Mr. Aaron on Thursday January 30th at 6:00 PM at Dr. H.O. Smith school. Please watch your child’s folder and emails for more information.
Lastly, as a reminder, please make sure your children are dressed for the colder winter temperatures. We do go outside for recess unless it is raining, snowing, or the temperature with wind chill is below 20 degrees.
