Electrical Apprenticeship

The Palmer Center is the host site for the classroom component of the registered apprenticeship program.

The Electrical Apprenticeship Program is a four year program meeting two evenings per week from 6:00-9:00 pm, from September to April that prepares apprentices for the Journeyman’s exam.  Each year apprentices are required to earn 150 hours of classroom instruction. Tuition is $1450 for each of the four years, which includes all books.  Apprentices should be working in the field to acquire 8,000 hours of related work experience as an apprentice to a Journeyman or Master electrician. Successful completion of both components are required in order to sit for the Journeyman's exam.
