The Youth Council is an agency that works with families and children. They provide outpatient counseling, parenting classes for all age groups, substance abuse education, and substance abuse counseling for teenager. They utilize the five week “Challenge Program” in their substance abuse education. They accept most insurance types. Services are only conducted at their office (no home, school services).

RAPS (Regional Access Point Services)

RAPS is a program of Granite Pathways. They offer initial screenings, referrals to evaluation, referral to a treatment provider, and continuous recovery support. They help clients with many barriers they face in accessing services, and provide case management. RAPS is available 24/7.

Beyond Influence

Beyond Influence’s mission is to engage members of the community to promote behaviors that improve the health and well-being of youth and young adults, with a focus on alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention. They have great resources, and information for parents and the community in regards to talking to child about safety, drugs, nutrition, and other aspects of health and wellness.

Child and Family Services of NH Provides many services to families and children, including: counseling, home supports, groups for parents with substance abusing children, and behavior supports. They work with children ages birth through twenty one.

Keystone provides substance abuse services, including: inpatient for adults, inpatient for woman with children (Cynthia Day), and outpatient services for adults and teens. They are able to bill insurance, and also have sliding scale available.

The Upper Room

The Upper Room has many programs for children and families. Under their Adolescent Wellness Services they have “The Challenge Course”. This Course is a class for youth using drugs and alcohol designed to educate them, and help them recognize patterns in order to adjust their behavior.

The Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Services provides resources for: drug treatment, prevention, and recovery. They are able to provide you a list of outpatient/inpatient, and other services you need, through phone contact, or from their website locator. In addition they have a resource guide which you can find online.

The Upper Room

The Upper Room has many programs for children and their families. They recently added an Alateen group that supports teens ages 9-19 who are impacted by addiction. This group currently occurs on Wednesdays at 3:30.

Nar-Anon is a twelve-step support group for families and friends of addicts. This group is currently on Wednesday nights from 7-8 at the Southern NH Medical Center. Please call Robyn for additional information (see above.)

This is a peer support group for parents of children, teens, and young adults with substance use issues. The groups are supported by a contract with NH Department of Health and Human Services, and are a program of The Children’s Behavioral Health Collaborative with New Futures. The groups are the 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month, from 6:00-7:30pm. Please call for additional information.
