Families, staff, and community,
We had a great start to the school year; there has been great energy and enthusiasm throughout our buildings. The school arrival and dismissal process is going well. A special thanks to the Hudson Police Department for their support on the first day of school, assisting with monitoring traffic in school zones. Students are doing a great job adhering to school procedures and following school routines. Each year, it takes a few weeks to become familiar with school schedules and routines. There are many ways for students to become involved in their school with co-curricular opportunities, music, art, sports, and curricular opportunities. Students are encouraged to be actively engaged in their school community; this is noted in the Portrait of an Elementary School Learner, Portrait of a Hudson Memorial School Learner, and Portrait of an Alvirne High School Graduate. During this school year, teachers, administrators and staff will encourage students to explore learning opportunities that promote students' advocacy, self-awareness, leadership skills, and their personal goals. We encourage students to be actively involved in their school.
