Superintendent’s Business Advisory Council

Randy Bell, Superintendent, Hudson School District

The mission of the Superintendent’s Business Advisory Council is to provide support, guidance, and leadership to the Superintendent on issues pertaining to the district’s academic excellence. Members would serve as advisors who would assist the district in identifying industry trends as well as ensuring our students are exiting Alvirne High School with key skill sets to succeed in tomorrow’s employment world.

A thriving community depends upon dynamic business enterprises and a high quality educational system. In turn, a high quality education system is one of the key elements in attracting business, while business provides substantial tax resources that support schools.

This inter-dependence between the business and educational enterprises can be enhanced by open-ended, regular and straightforward dialogue between business and educational leaders.

The goals of the Superintendent’s Business Advisory Council are:

  • To foster dynamic on-going communication;
  • To strengthen the relationship between business and education;
  • To recommend and support actions that benefit both enterprises; and,
  • To enhance the quality of life in Hudson.

  • Attend four meetings a year.
  • Develop a shared vision and contribute to a Strategic Plan for the school district.
  • Communicate perspectives on the needs of the business community for the skills and education required of Alvirne graduates.
  • Facilitate awareness of the accomplishments and capabilitiesof the district to the broader business community.
